WHO WE ARE

The Edwardsville Education Association is a member-led local association representing EEA members in Edwardsville Community Unit School District 7.

 

EEA works to protect negotiated rights, strengthen the collective voice of educators, support fair working and learning conditions, and create meaningful opportunities for members to participate in their association.

 

EEA is an affiliate of the Illinois Education Association and the National Education Association, connecting local members with statewide and national advocacy, resources, and support.

What We Do

CONTRACT AND REPRESENTATION

EEA negotiates and supports the collective bargaining agreement, helps members understand their contractual rights, and connects members with representation when workplace concerns arise.

MEMBER VOICE

EEA provides opportunities for members to raise concerns, share ideas, participate in committees, attend meetings, complete surveys, and help shape association priorities.

ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT

EEA advocates for fair working conditions, professional respect, strong public schools, and the resources educators and students need to succeed.

A MEMBER-LED ASSOCIATION

EEA is shaped by the members it represents. Elected leaders, Building Representatives, committee members, and individual members all contribute to the work of the association.

Members strengthen EEA by staying informed, communicating workplace concerns, attending meetings, participating in committees, completing surveys, and supporting one another.

LOCAL REPRESENTATION. BROADER SUPPORT.

As an affiliate of the Illinois Education Association and National Education Association, EEA members are connected to professional resources, advocacy, training, member benefits, and organizational support beyond the local level.

MORE THAN SIX DECADES OF COLLECTIVE ACTION

EEA received its original Illinois Education Association charter in 1964. Since then, generations of Edwardsville educators have worked together to strengthen their profession, support public education, and represent the collective interests of members.
